Brent McBratney, Head of Marketing, Airbus India’s South Asia, participated in an event in Hyderabad on the growth of India’s aviation sector in 2022.
The aviation sector in India is expected to grow at an annual rate of 6.2% per annum by 2040. India will be the fastest-growing economy in the world.
India will need 2,210 new aircraft in the next 20 years. Of these, 1770 aircraft will be new small aircraft, 440 aircraft will be medium and large aircraft.
We had earlier predicted that India would need 1,880 passenger and cargo aircraft by 2038. But, it will increase further due to economic growth.
The growth of domestic aviation is the main reason for the growth of the aviation sector in India. This is the perfect time for domestic airlines operating in India to start their journey abroad.
As a result, India will need 34,000 pilots and 45,000 flight technicians by 2040. ”
