New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today tabled a budget worth Rs.75,800 crore. It has been informed that 20 lakh people will be provided employment in the next 5 years.
The 8th budget was tabled today after the Arvind Kejriwal-led government came to power in Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Shisodia also presented his 8th budget today.
The budget value of Delhi is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous fiscal. The budget for the last financial year was Rs.69,000 crore. A budget of Rs.75,800 crore has been tabled for the coming financial year.
Delhi’s economy is slowly recovering from the effects of the corona. Plans are afoot to provide employment to millions of youth in Delhi from the coming financial year.
Rs.9,669 crore has been earmarked for the health sector and Rs.16,278 crore for the education sector. Rs.4,500 crore will be allocated to create 20 lakh jobs in the next 5 years. Rs 800 crore will be allocated for the next financial year.
The shopping festival will be held to encourage retailers and wholesalers in the state of Delhi. The shopping festival will be held in a place that attracts tourists, which will also create employment. This financial year, Rs..250 crore has been allocated.
Steps will be taken to create employment for one lakh youth in Delhi every year. In order to attract the largest IT companies, an IT park will be set up in the Baprola area, which will provide employment to 80,000 young people.
A food policy will also be developed to popularize the cuisine of Delhi to the people of other states. These food trucks will operate on the roads from 8pm to 2am.
