New Delhi: Clashes between the two factions erupted during the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri, Delhi yesterday. Many of them were seriously injured.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah held consultations with top officials, including the Delhi Police Commissioner, on the clash. He ordered the necessary action to be taken.
A 10-member panel has been ordered to investigate the violence.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the country cannot progress without peace, adding that the central government has a responsibility to maintain peace in the capital.

Meanwhile, police have arrested 14 people, including 9 last night and 5 this morning, in connection with the violence in Delhi.
