General Elections 2022 are Possible to Conduct after October only says Election Commission of Pakistan

Lahore: Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, blaming the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the rise in inflation and rising prices in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Election Commission has ruled out holding general elections in Pakistan before October this year.

Opposition parties have stated they will not run for office until Imran Khan has a majority. In this context, the Parliament of Pakistan convened on the 3rd of last month. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections.

But the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was rejected by the Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament, Cosin Khan, on the grounds that it was unconstitutional. Thus, the shocked opposition staged a sit-in protest inside parliament.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan, who addressed the gathering from his home without appearing before parliament, has called on President Arif Ali Khan to dissolve the Pakistani parliament. He must dissolve the regime as there is a foreign conspiracy to dissolve his regime. Imran Khan spoke up to let the people decide who should rule.

In this context, Pakistani President Arif Ali Khan has issued a statement of action calling for the dissolution of parliament in response to Imran Khan’s request. He said the election would be held within 90 days.

However, the Election Commission of Pakistan has declared that it is not possible to hold general elections as planned. According to a report released by Radio Pakistan on behalf of the government, it is not possible for Pakistan to hold general elections before October this year. Radio Pakistan has also announced that it will take 7 months to hold free, transparent and transparent elections.
