New Delhi: The coronavirus found in China has infected the rest of the world. As a result, about 22,000 Indian students studying at Chinese universities were deported.
Thereafter, India repeatedly requested that they be extradited to China, but this was not accepted. The government has refused to allow them to enter China. This has created an environment where Indian students are unable to continue their studies in China.
In this regard, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has issued a circular. Accordingly, tourist visas issued to Chinese nationals are no longer valid.
It has also released details of passengers allowed to enter India.
Entry into India from Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal, Passengers Permitted to Stay in India, Passengers with Visa or Holders of e-Visa issued by India, Passengers with Card or Guide of Indian Citizenship, Passengers with Cards of Indian Descent and Embassy Passport Permission will be granted.
