The second match of the IPL 2022 was played today at the Brabourne Ground in Mumbai. Mumbai and Delhi clashed in the match which started at 03:30 pm. Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to field
The Mumbai team’s opening was a great one as captain Rohit Sharma and Ishant Kishan bowled the Delhi team all four.
Rohit Sharma, who took 41 off 32 balls, was bowled by Kuldeep Yadav. Anmolpreet Singh, who came next, was dismissed for 8. Tilak Verma, who came in later, was out for 22 runs. The much-anticipated Pollard was out for 3 runs.
Ishant Kishan, on the other hand, played aggressively and piled up runs as the Mumbai team was falling wicket on one side. He was unbeaten on 81 off 48 balls, including 11 fours and 2 sixes. At the end of 20 overs, Mumbai scored 177 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
The opening match was better for the Delhi team, which played against a slightly hard target. Prithviraj Shah played an action-packed innings and scored 38 off 24 balls. Tim Seifert was dismissed for 21 off 14 balls.
Mandeep Singh and Bandh were out for the next few runs. The Delhi team lost 1 wicket for 30 runs and stumbled losing 5 wickets for 72 runs. At one point the match leaned towards the Mumbai team.

Then the pair of Lalit Yadav and Thakur changed the outcome of the match. Thakur struck out 21 off 11 balls, including four fours. Akshar Patel then turned the match around.
He scored 38 off just 17 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Lalit Yadav, on the other hand, scored 48 off 38 balls. Delhi won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 179 runs in 18.2 overs.
