Moscow: Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues for 37 days. Russia, which has seized control of various parts of the country, is now encircling and attacking the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
Infrastructure in Ukrainian cities has been severely damaged by Russian airstrikes. Ukrainian forces have also relentlessly retaliated against Russia.
In this context, an oil depot in the Russian region along the border with Ukraine was attacked today. The oil depot burns away.
Two employees of an oil storage depot have been injured in an attack in Ukraine. People living around the area have been evicted. Firefighters are actively involved in putting out the fire.
The regional governor said two Ukrainian military helicopters had descended on the oil depot in the western Russian city of Belgorod.
Russian media have reported that it was Ukraine that attacked the Russian oil depot. But so far Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the attack. However, if that were true, it would be the first attack by Ukraine on Russian soil since the start of the invasion.
It is noteworthy that a week ago, the governor accused Ukraine of dropping artillery shells on Belgorod.
