E-commerce platform Meesho News: SoftBank-backed e-commerce firm Meesho on Tuesday said the company will integrate its grocery business with the main app to bring one billion users in India to a single shopping platform.
The company expects to complete the integration of the grocery business by the first week of May and rebrand it as Meesho Superstore from Farmiso.
Vidit Atre, Founder and CEO, Meesho said, “The demand for online grocery is increasing with more users becoming comfortable to shop online from the Tier-II area.
We are thrilled to integrate Meesho Superstore with our core app. Now there are positive trends in six states regarding what started as a pilot in Karnataka.
Meesho Superstore currently offers over 500 products across categories such as fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, groceries, home care and processed food. With this integration, more than 100 million users of the company will be able to get more than 8.7 crore products in more than 36 categories on a single platform.
Atre said, this integration will give an integrated shopping experience to millions of Meesho users and facilitate the company to coordinate.
