Prime Minister Imran Khan Opposition’s no-confidence motion rejected by Deputy Speaker

Opposition parties have stated that Imran Khan has lost his majority in Parliament and will have to resign immediately. Today is going to be an important day in Pakistan's politics. The no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be discussed in the National Assembly of Pakistan today. 

Islamabad: Pakistan’s opposition PML-N and the PPP have filed a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan’s government, saying he has lost a majority in parliament and will have to resign immediately.

The Imran government has taken action before voting on the no-confidence motion. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has been removed from his post by the government. The new governor of Punjab will be announced later. Now, according to the incident, the deputy speaker will be the acting governor.

Meanwhile, before voting on the no-confidence motion, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif said that no one could stop him from voting against Imran Khan. Opposition groups called for a no-confidence motion against Assad Kaiser, the speaker of the National Assembly.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to face a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly today. Meanwhile, the district administration has implemented Section 144 in Islamabad.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has tweeted, “Prime Minister Imran Khan has always made Pakistan proud. Today, the whole country stands behind Imran Khan.”

The no-confidence motion in the National Assembly of Pakistan will begin at 12 noon. Meanwhile, Opposition MPs have also reached the House. PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto have reached the National Assembly.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan could be arrested, Pakistani Minister Sheikh Rashid has said in an interview. “I think they will arrest Imran Khan, they will not tolerate Imran Khan any more. 150 members can resign, is a serious threat to democracy. Elections are the only solution to this problem. ” That is what Rashid has said.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) president Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have reached the National Assembly after attending a joint meeting of the opposition.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has called for peace before the no-confidence motion. He told people to stay away from violence. In addition, tight security has been deployed outside the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Umar Sarfaraz Cheema has been appointed as the new Governor of Punjab in Pakistan. Earlier today, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar was removed from his post by the Pakistan government.

It is being said that Imran Khan will not reach the National Assembly today. Imran Khan may stay away from the proceedings of the no-confidence motion. That is what is being said by the Pakistani media.

So far, only 22 PTI MPs have reached the Pakistani parliament. The party has claimed the support of 142 MPs. On the other hand, 176 MPs from the Opposition have reached Parliament. The doors of the National Assembly will be closed shortly, after which no one will be allowed inside.

Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan met President Arif Alvi to discuss the political situation.

Pakistan’s National Assembly has rejected a no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government. Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri rejected the no-confidence motion, saying it was a foreign conspiracy and did not allow a vote in the House. As a result, the National Assembly of Pakistan has been adjourned. The next sitting of Parliament will be held on April 25.
