India’s Renault official website has removed the Duster SUV model. There showing one three models KIGER, TRIBER, KWID only it seems the company Renault likely to bring a New Duster SUV mode for Indian market.
Renault India, has been missing from the market for a long time and now the company has also removed this SUV car from its official website. Now there is also a possibility that the company may discontinue this car soon.
However, when the Duster entered the Indian market about 10 years ago, it was a very popular and well-liked SUV. Due to its off-roading quality and muscular looks, it was a favorite SUV for adventure enthusiasts.
After this, SUVs equipped with more than one look and features came in the market and the demand for Duster decreased. Many new compact SUVs like Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier have entered this segment.
Renault Duster comes with two powertrain options including 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre turbo petrol. The 1.5-litre petrol variant generates 105bhp power and 142Nm torque while the 1.3-litre turbo petrol variant makes 154bhp power and 254Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a CVT unit.
According to some reports, it is also discussed that the company will not allow the Duster brand to end, but with that well-known name, it can relaunch the Duster with a new look and latest features. Just like Hyundai’s Creta was also a very famous SUV and when it started to lag behind in the market, Hyundai relaunched it with new looks and features and Creta again managed to hold its own among the people.
If the reports are correct, then Renault will have a strong player in the form of the new Duster against the new rivals in this segment. However, no official information has been revealed from the company side.
