Berlin: The World Famous Electric Car Manufacturer Tesla has opened its first European factory on Tuesday near Berlin. The factory named as “Gigafactory” which is 12,000 employees to produce nearly 500,000 cars in a year once it comes up on full running condition.
A German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has attended the Tesla factory opening ceremony in Gruenheide, southeast of the German capital along with the company CEO Elon Musk.
The Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has performed his dancing while opening the factory and first cars rolled out for delivery.
He later posted a comment on Twitter thanking Germany with the words “Danke Deutschland!” surrounded by German flags.
While speaking Mr Musk saiys “This is a great day for the factory,” describing it as “another step in the direction of a sustainable future”.
On the Tuesday when the factory was opened at the time outside environmental groups are been protested over concerns ranging from the plan’ts water use to the trees felled to build it.
Tesla to be deliver its first 30 German-made Model Y cars on Tuesday. Also the company says the model Y have a 320 mile range and cost €63,990 (£53,000).
