Islamabad: Opposition parties have filed a no-confidence motion against Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. The vote on that resolution will take place. In that sense, it is possible Imran Khan’s proposal was accepted and the President dissolved Parliament.
The vote on the no-confidence motion against the Imran government took place in the Pakistani parliament yesterday (Saturday) at midnight. In which Imran Khan failed. 174 members voted against Imran Khan. Following this, Imran Khan and members of the ruling party left the parliament premises.
The current Prime Minister of Pakistan will be elected today (Sunday). Nominations for the PM’s job will be submitted by 2 p.m. Pakistan will get a new Prime Minister on April 11. Accordingly, Nawaz Sharif’s party leader Shahbaz Sharif will be the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.
In this case, the Pakistani government was overthrown after Imran Khan lost the confidence vote. Following this, Imran Khan left the Prime Minister’s Office residence.
Imran Khan became the first Prime Minister in the history of Pakistan to be removed from office by a no-confidence motion. It has been announced that the new Prime Minister of the country will be decided when the Parliament convenes.
