Lucknow: In Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath was today sworn in for a second term as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, chief ministers of the 12 BJP-ruling states and senior BJP leaders. He was administered the oath of office by Governor Anandiben Patel.
Yogi Adityanath taken oath as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for the second time today, with the BJP winning a landslide victory in the 253-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly with 403 seats.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and BJP leader Mayawati have been invited to the inauguration of Yogi Adityanath.
It is noteworthy that this is the second consecutive year that a single person has been elected as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh after about 37 years. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and 60 businessmen were invited to the inauguration ceremony.
