South Korean automaker Hyundai is working on a new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). If the reports are to be believed, then its name is Stargazer (Hyundai Stargazer).
Recently, some pictures of the car have surfaced during testing, which shows its design.
Images reveal that it will get wider grille, new spoiler, raked front windscreen and high-mount stop lamps. It will be launched early next year.
How will the car look?
In terms of design, the Hyundai Stargazer is likely to feature a clamshell bonnet, large and mesh grille, LED triangular headlight cluster, smooth daytime running lights (DRLs) and large air vents.
Arrow cut design, B-pillars, ORVMs, and designer alloy wheels will be available on the sides of the car.
At the rear, you will get high-mounted stop lamps, arrow-shaped LED taillights, window wipers and a raked windscreen that make the MPV look very attractive.
The car can come with the option of three engines
Let us tell you that in Hyundai’s new MPV, customers will get the option of petrol and diesel engines.
According to reports, this car can be offered with three engine options. First, the 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates 113hp power and 144Nm torque.
Second, the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 138hp of power and 242Nm of torque.
Third, the 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 113hp power and 250Nm of torque.
These features will be available in the cabin
The Hyundai Stargazer will be offered with a larger 6- or 7-seater cabin with three rows of seats. It will get auto climate control, parking sensors, keyless entry and multifunctional steering wheel.
A touchscreen infotainment console supporting the latest connectivity features will also be provided in the cabin of the car.
Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, it will get safety features like multiple airbags, EBD, rear-view camera, crash sensor, anti-braking system (ABS) and engine immobilizer.
What will be its cost?
Information about the price and availability of the car will be given at the time of its launch. However, it is being speculated that it can be launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 12 to 15 lakhs.
Before this car, Hyundai is going to present its Steria MPV in the market.
The Hyundai Steria MPV recently underwent a safety crash test by the New Car Assistance Program for South Asia (ASEAN NCAP), in which the Steria has received a five-star safety rating.
