New Delhi: Kia has launched its EV6 car in India. It is noteworthy that this is the first EV launched by the South Korean manufacturer Kia in the Indian market.
The new car is built on Kia’s exclusive EV operating system, the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Kia had initially announced that only 100 cars would be allotted to India.
The Kia EV6 has received 355 bookings so far. So it is said that the number of cars distributed in India may increase due to demand. However, no details were shared at the event.
Kia India announced the launch of bookings for the Kia EV6 for its premium EV vehicle a few days ago. Delivery of the cars will begin in September 2022. Introduced with a range of 528 km, it is one of the longest EVs in the country.
Price 59.95 lakh rupees
The Kia EV6 is imported as a fully configured unit (CBU). The new Kia EV6 will be launched in India in five colors. GT Line offers Rs. 59.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the GT Line AWD variant has been launched at a price of 64.95 lakhs.
Kia EV6 Features
The Kia EV6 is available in exclusive GT line trims in India and comes with technologies like multi-charging system. Important features include a charging system that works with 400V and 800V chargers:
The car’s fast charging technology charges the vehicle 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a 350KWh charger. It also features 2-way charging technology that allows other devices (sufficient to use a mid-range home AC) to drive the vehicle.
The car features dual motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system for improved acceleration and smooth operation in all weather conditions.
It includes a variety of processes such as Normal, Sport and Eco modes. . Through these methods owners can experience significant performance and performance change to suit their needs.
Kia Smart Regenerative Braking is also included. The braking system restores kinetic energy to increase driving range and efficiency. The EV6 is fitted with six regenerative braking stages, allowing the car to receive maximum power from its brakes in ‘i-PEDAL’ driving mode.
The brake allows the driver to slow down without having to push the pedal.
