For the people who want these electric cars, the country’s giant Mahindra has made a big announcement. It is going to introduce five new electric SUVs next month.

‘Born EV’ range to be unveiled on August 15

Mahindra is going to make its global offering of these electric cars on August 15. The company has named this range of cars as ‘Born EV’. Mahindra has been giving information related to this range through teasers in the past, but now the company has revealed for the first time that it is bringing five new electric SUVs.

These cars have been designed in the United Kingdom (UK) by the ‘Mahindra Advance Design Europe’ (MADE) division.

How are these electric cars?

The body design of one of the five SUVs shown in the teaser resembles that of a coupe-style crossover. Apart from this, the design of one of these electric SUVs has also been kept similar to Mahindra’s existing XUV700.

The new teaser video shows the profiles of these five upcoming electric cars in the form of silhouettes. Recently Mahindra has also announced its electric XUV400, which can hit the market after September.

eXUV400 will be like this in design

Mahindra’s new eXUV400 will be an electric variant of the XUV300 in terms of design. The company first showed the electric variant of the XUV300 at the 2020 Auto Expo. It will compete with the existing Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV in the market.

Mahindra is making new EV company

Recently, Mahindra had officially announced the formation of a new EV company in association with British International Investment (BII). For this Mahindra has already received an investment of Rs 1,925 crore from BII. Apart from this, a total capital investment of about Rs 8,000 crore is planned between 2024 and 2027.

In this new company, BII will have a stake of 2.75 percent to 4.76 percent. This new EV company will make electric vehicles for the global market.
