This year a new term ‘ concept car ‘ has been heard a lot in the Indian automobile market . Recently, Tata Motors took the wraps off its two concept EVs (Curve and Avinya).
Now Mahindra, a well-known company of the country, is also ready to follow this path. Mahindra has officially announced to unveil its three concept electric cars on 15th August .
Mahindra has named this range of cars ‘Born EV’.
How will the design be?
According to the teaser video, the new Mahindra Electric SUV concept will be equipped with C-shaped LED headlamps, which will be connected to an LED strip. The ORVMs will be replaced by rear-view cameras whose view will be reflected on the screens installed in the cabin. At the rear, it will get sleek tail-lamps connected by LED strips.
The center console will feature LED red lights, single rotary knob, two-spoke steering wheel and bucket seats with wrap-around headrest and sporty alloy wheels.
These concept cars have been designed in the United Kingdom by Mahindra Advance Design Europe (MADE) division under the supervision of Pratap Bose. They will be launched in 2025 and information related to their variants will be shared in July.
Tata Motors is currently at the forefront
Tata Motors is currently leading the Indian EV market thanks to the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. The concept EVs from Tata Motors are expected to arrive in the next few years.
On 29 April, Tata Motors took the wraps off its all-electric EV design, which will only be used to produce EVs.
The Avinya concept car built on this design will have a range of more than 500 km on a single charge.
Mahindra is also going to launch its all-electric eXUV300 in India early next year . In terms of design, it looks very similar to the XUV300. In the Indian market, this car will compete with the Tata Nexon EV Max.
For information, let us tell you that Mahindra is going to invest a total of Rs 13,000 crore in its plans this year, out of which about Rs 3,000 crore will be invested on EV plans.
