Mahindra launched its powerful and stylish SUV XUV700 on August 15, 2021 last year. Since then, this car has achieved a great position. Mahindra has announced that the XUV700 has crossed the 1.5 lakh unit booking mark in the first 11 months of its launch.
However, there is still a long waiting period for the customers on this car.
XUV700 receives ‘Safer Choice’ award
Mahindra XUV700 was recently awarded the ‘Safer Choice’ award for the year 2021 by Global NCAP, the crash testing agency of cars around the world. Tested by Global NCAP in November last year, it received a full five stars in the adult safety category and four stars in the children’s category. Overall, this SUV got 57.69 points out of a maximum of 66 in the testing.
This car gets the biggest sunroof
Talking about the design of the XUV700, its length is 4695mm, width is 1890mm, height is 1755mm and its wheel base is 2750mm. The SUV also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and advanced technology like ADAS.
Its top-end variants AX5 and AX7 get a large sunroof , which Mahindra has named Skyroof. The company claims that this is the biggest sunroof in this segment.

This car from Mahindra has been given the option of both diesel and petrol engines (manual and automatic). The diesel model is powered by a 2.2-litre m-Hawk engine that produces 152.8bhp of power and 360Nm of torque mated to a manual gearbox. On the other hand, mated to an automatic gearbox, it can make 182.3bhp power and 450Nm torque. Its 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine has the ability to generate power of 197bhp and torque of 380Nm.
What is the price of this powerful SUV?
Talking about the price, the ex-showroom price of the current initial variants (petrol-manual) of Mahindra XUV700 is Rs 13.18 lakh. The price of its top variant (automatic) goes up to Rs 24.58 lakh.
It is worth noting that Mahindra has recently recalled all its diesel and automatic variants due to technical snag. Due to this the company has also removed them from its official website. In the current situation, the price of its higher variant (AX7) is Rs 19.20 lakh.
