Talking about the design, the new Toyota Fortuner can be given an attractive hood, large grille at the front, new bumper spoiler and new LED headlights.
The sides of the car are also expected to get roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, sharp body lines, side steppers and designer wheels.
The rear of the car will also get wrap-around taillights, shark-fin antenna for better aerodynamics and rear window wipers which give it a very attractive look.
The car will come with a mild-hybrid diesel powertrain
The upcoming car will get a 2.8-litre engine with mild-hybrid diesel powertrain 1GD-FTV technology.
It is likely to get Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which is already available in many existing Suzuki mild-hybrid models. The only difference is that this time it is being paired with a diesel motor.
In the current model of the car, it has been given a 2.7-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which generates 161hp power and 242Nm of torque.
These features can be given in the cabin
The Toyota Fortuner gets a large dual-tone 7-seater cabin with a heads-up display. It will get a center console that separates the driver and passenger side. It is also expected to get a 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel.
The car will also get a digital instrument cluster supporting connectivity features and a touchscreen infotainment console.
For the safety of the passengers, features like multiple airbags, lane departure warning and blind-spot detection can be provided in the car.
What will be its cost?
Information about the price and availability of the new Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market will be given at the time of its launch. However, it is being speculated that it can be launched around 40 to 45 lakh rupees.
For information, let us tell you that Toyota is also working on the facelift variant of its best selling Innova car. It can be launched early next year.
However, the company is going to launch the current model with hybrid technology around Diwali.
