Now there will be a fierce competition in compact size SUVs, Toyota introduced its new hybrid car

Toyota has finally unveiled its new hybrid car, the Urban Cruiser Highrider.

On the previous day, Maruti Suzuki also launched its new fledgling Brezza. As soon as July starts, Toyota and Maruti have become a topic of discussion in the market with their powerful cars.

Toyota has made this hybrid SUV under a global partnership with Maruti. Maruti will also bring this car in the market under its own name in a few months.

How is the look of the new SUV?

This SUV from Toyota is a new offering in the C-segment . The company has today introduced it globally from India itself.

The SUV is built on Toyota’s global TNGA-B platform.

The highrider SUV gets a Glanza-like front grille with a thin chrome stripe, lower-position LED headlamps and LED DRLs. It also gets multi-spoke alloy wheels along with hybrid key badging on the side and disc brakes on all tyres.

Its cabin is full of space

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider gets a large touchscreen infotainment system with modern features like a 360-degree parking camera, heads-up display, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, HUD (Heads Up Display) Cabin available.

Connected Car Tech has also been given in this, so that you can see many information related to the car in your phone as well as control many of its features.

Its safety features also include six airbags and ABS.

Powerful engine options are available in this car

In terms of engine, the Toyota Highrider gets a 1.5 liter K series petrol engine sourced from Maruti.

It will be available in multi-hybrid options (mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid). The mild-hybrid petrol engine will generate 103bhp power and 136Nm torque. It will come in the market with 6 speed in both manual and automatic option.

The hybrid engine will help this car to run in electric mode.

Apart from this, the option of AWD is also available in this compact SUV.

What will be its cost?

Its estimated ex-showroom price is likely to be between Rs 11 to 17 lakhs. It will compete with other C-segment SUVs like Kia Seltos, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta . The company will reveal the prices of this car at the time of starting its sales next month.
