Bajaj Auto may do share buyback, also plans to give dividend of Rs 140 per share, will be considered in board meeting today

The buyback price and other details will be revealed after Bajaj Auto's board meeting. Earlier, the company had postponed the buyback plan in the meeting held on June 14.

Bajaj Auto: Bajaj Auto is considering buyback of its equity shares. The proposal for the buyback will be considered in the meeting of the Board of Directors of Bajaj Auto to be held on Monday, June 27.

Bajaj Auto said in an exchange filing on June 22, “We would like to state that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company is scheduled to be held on June 27 to consider the proposal for buyback of fully paid up equity shares of the company.”

Trading window will remain closed till June 29

The price and other details will be disclosed after this meeting. Earlier, the company had deferred the buyback plan in the meeting held on June 14.

As per the Company’s Code of Conduct framed in pursuance of SEBI regulations, the trading window for the securities of the Company had closed on June 9 for the nominees and will remain closed till June 29 (both days inclusive).

Company will give dividend of Rs 140 per share

In a release, the auto company had also announced a dividend of Rs 140 per share to investors.

On payment of dividend, Bajaj Auto had said, in accordance with the Company’s Dividend Distribution Policy, the Board of Directors shall pay dividend at the rate of Rs 140 per share for shares having face value of Rs 10 for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. has recommended.

If it is announced by the shareholders in the upcoming Annual General Meeting, it will be credited or dispatched to the shareholders’ accounts by July 30.

The company said, if the dividend is declared, it will be paid to those shareholders whose names are recorded as beneficial owners in the register of members of the company or in the records of depositories by July 1.
