The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the Bank Holiday Calendar every year which contains the details of the bank holidays in every state.

The month of June is about to start in a few days. Banks are going to be closed for 12 days in the month of June due to festivals and holidays. There are more holidays in June due to Maharana Pratap Jayanti, the martyrdom of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.

Every year the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the Bank Holiday Calendar which contains the information about the bank holidays occurring in every state. In this calendar, it has been told about the banks in which bank branches will be closed on specific dates in the states. Let’s know the complete list..

Banks will remain closed for 12 days

Overall, the banks are going to be closed for 12 days in June. According to RBI’s holiday list, banks are going to remain closed for a total of 12 days in view of festivals and anniversaries in different states. The second and fourth Saturday and Sunday holidays are also included in this list.

Banks will remain closed for so many days in June 2022

June 2 – Thursday – Banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Telangana on account of Maharana Pratap Jayanti / Telangana Foundation Day.

June 3 – Friday – Banks will remain closed in Punjab on the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

June 5 – Sunday

June 11 – Second Saturday

June 12 – Sunday

June 14 – Birth anniversary of the first king / saint Guru Kabir – Banks will remain closed in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab.

June 15 – Raja Sankranti / YMA Day / Birthday of Guru Hargobind Ji – Banks will remain closed in Odisha, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir.

June 19 – Sunday

June 22- Kharchi Puja- Banks will remain closed only in Tripura.

June 25 – Fourth Saturday

June 26 – Sunday

June 30 – Thursday , Ramna Ni – Banks will remain closed only in Mizoram.

RBI released the list of holidays

According to the list of holidays given on the official website of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the list of holidays of the states is different. These festivals or holidays depend on the special occasions. These holidays are not applicable in all states. Depends on the festival or day being held in the states.

During the holidays, customers can settle their work through online banking, phone banking, UPI. If you have to go to the bank branch and get the work done, then definitely check the list of bank holidays.
