The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has decided to go on strike on June 27. It is an association of nine bank unions. AIBEA general secretary CH Venkatachalam said after the UFBU meeting that their demands are to revise and revise the pension for all pensioners.
His demand includes the abolition of the National Pension Scheme and the restoration of the old pension scheme for all bank employees. Apart from this, employees of public sector banks have demanded to work only five days a week.
The bank strike will take place after the weekend (June 25-26). Since June 27 is falling on a Monday. Therefore, banks will remain closed for three consecutive days. Banks will be closed for so many days in June.
