IRCTC Q1 Results 2022: IRCTC has released the first quarter results of the financial year 2023 ended 30 June 2022 on August 10, according to which the company’s profit during this period has increased by almost three times year-on-year to Rs 245.52 crore. Which stood at Rs 82.5 crore in the first quarter of FY 2022.
For the first quarter ended June 30, 2022, the company’s income grew by 251 per cent year-on-year at Rs 852 crore as compared to Rs 243 crore in the first quarter of FY 2022. Due to the strong results, the EPS of the stock has also jumped 3 times to Rs 3.07. It stood at Rs 1.03 in the first quarter of the financial year 2022 affected by Covid.
Looking at the different segments of the company, growth has been seen in all its five business segments. The company’s Catering Services revenue grew from Rs 56.7 crore on a year-on-year basis to Rs 352 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022.
At the same time, the revenue of internet ticketing business has been at Rs 301.6 crore. While the revenue of Rail Neer business was Rs 83.6 crore, the revenue of tourism business was Rs 81.9 crore and the revenue of State pilgrimage business was Rs 33.2 crore during this period.
The biggest contributor to the company’s EBITDA has been the Internet ticketing business. On a year-on-year basis, the company’s EBITDA increased from Rs 111.5 crore to Rs 320.9 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2022, while the EBITDA margin declined from 45.8 per cent to 37.6 per cent.
