Elon Musk , the world’s richest person , has become the highest-paid CEO in the year 2021. According to Fortune 500 magazine, Musk received $23.5 billion (about Rs 1,82,576 crore) as salary last year.
Musk also made money with Tesla stock options found in the 2018 multiyear ‘moonshot’ giant.
According to the Fortune 500, this is the largest paycheck a CEO has ever received.
Musk tops Fortune 500 list
Musk, who leads Tesla and Space-X , tops the list of highest-paid CEOs . Soon Musk may also get the ownership of social media company Twitter.
Other CEOs included in this list are also associated with the tech and biotech industries.
The names of Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft leading Satya Nadella and Netflix boss Reed Hastings have also been included in this list.
Apple CEO’s earnings were so much last year
Last year, Tim Cook was paid $7705 million, including part of earnings from a 10-year grant of shares valued at $1.7 billion, Fortune reported.
Tim was on the second position in the list of highest-paid CEOs.
Apple’s market value grew to $2.2 trillion during his tenure. For this reason, Apple has been on the third position in the Fortune 500.

Nvidia’s Jensen Huang List ranked third and earned $561 million in 2021.
A spokesperson told the Fortune 500 that the company’s stock price has risen nearly 60-fold over the past decade, with Huang earning approximately $507 million in shares he received in 2011 and 2012.
Netflix ‘s Reese Hastings was on the fourth position , who was paid $45.35 last year.
Satya Nadella most underrated CEO
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella ranked seventh in the Fortune 500 list and was paid $309.4 million last year.
Satya was also voted as the ‘Most Underrated CEO’ of the year 2021. Microsoft CEO has received this title for the sixth year in a row.

CEOs earn hundreds of times more than employees
A report by the Economic Policy Institute has revealed that the earnings of the CEO of an average ‘large company’ were about 351 times more in the year 2020 than the earnings of an average employee.
The Fortune 500 collected data on the salaries of 280 CEOs to prepare its report and final list.
The average of their earnings has come to about $ 159 million, which is 30 percent more than the year 2020.
