Indigo Q4 Result 2022 Rising expenditure on fuel showed its effect, loss increased to Rs 1681.80 crore

The company's EBITDA has come down from Rs 551.40 crore to Rs 37.80 crore in the fourth quarter on a year-on-year basis. The EBITDA of the company has seen a decline of 93 percent on an annual basis during this period.

InterGlobe Aviation, which operates India’s largest airline IndiGo, has released the results for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2021-22 ended on May 25, i.e. today, March 31, 2022, according to which the expenditure on aircraft fuel during this period has increased.

Due to the increase, the consolidated loss of the company has increased to Rs 1681.80 crore. Whereas the company had reported a loss of Rs 1141.98 crore in the fourth quarter of its previous financial year.

At the same time, a Bloomberg poll had estimated that in the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22, InterGlobe Aviation may have a loss of Rs 978.30 crore on income of Rs 8000.30 crore.

The company’s income during the period grew by 29 per cent year-on-year at Rs 8,020.75 crore as against Rs 6222.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. In the fourth quarter, year-on-year fuel expenditure grew by 68 per cent to Rs 3220.58 crore from Rs 1914.46 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company’s EBITDA has come down from Rs 551.40 crore to Rs 37.80 crore in the fourth quarter on a year-on-year basis. The company’s EBITDA has seen a decline of 93 per cent on a year-on-year basis during this period. The company’s EBITDA margin declined from 8.86 per cent to 0.47 per cent in the fourth quarter on a year-on-year basis.
