India’s leading industrialist Anand Mahindra has reacted to the cancellation of the $ 44 billion deal between Elon Musk and Twitter.
Sharing an article related to the legal battle that started between the two sides, Mahindra said that the entire episode was a “waste of time, energy and money”.
Anand Mahindra said in a tweet, “Twitter is an essential source of news and engagement. Can it be listed as a quasi-social enterprise, run for profit but with management through a strong charter and a board of directors where they act responsibly as trustees?”
Last week, when Elon Musk accused Twitter of not providing accurate numbers of fake members and questioned Twitter’s debt, the industry sleuth called the episode a “Twitter tease”
Why did Anand Mahindra say – Twitter Tease
Mahindra Group Chairperson said, “If Elon is traveling in an Indian train, the conductor will affix the level of ‘TT’ i.e. Ticketless Traveler on him. But now TT can also become a teasing word in a headline, which means Twitter Tease.”
Meanwhile, Twitter Inc wants an immediate trial to justify its claim that Musk unfairly canceled a $44 billion deal to buy the social media platform.
Lawyers for San Francisco company Washtel, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP said they needed four days to prove in Delaware Chancery Court that the world’s richest man must honor his agreement to Twitter and 54.2 Billion dollars should be paid.
