PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana: In order to provide insurance cover to the common man at very low premium, the central government has started many schemes. Under this, the Central Government had started the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana in the year 2015. Earlier the premium in this plan was Rs 330. Which has now been increased to Rs 436.
In this scheme, on the death of the beneficiary in any way, the nominee or family gets Rs 2 lakh. It means to say that if a person dies due to illness or accident. In such a situation, the nominee or family of the person in whose name there is insurance will get Rs 2 lakh. People in the age group of 18 to 50 years can join this scheme.

This scheme was started by the Modi government at the Center in the year 2015. Under this, the insurance holders have to deposit Rs 436 as annual premium amount. It works like a term insurance and the term of the plan is till the month of April and 31st of May every year. PMJJBY is a term insurance plan. In term insurance, the benefit is available only after the death of the policy taker.
If the policyholder remains well after the end of the term, then he does not get any benefit. This policy starts from 1st June, which is valid till 31st May. Money is deducted from the bank account of the insurance holders on a specified date. It is very important to have a bank account to take advantage of this scheme.

How to get insurance claim?
