Delhivery will do 75,000 recruitments in one and a half months, know which services will get opportunities

The hiring is aimed at supplying services associated with the expected heavy volumes in the parcel and express part truckload business during the upcoming festive season, the company said.

Delhivery hiring plans: Logistics firm Delhivery has announced a plan for seasonal recruitment of more than 75,000 staff in the next one to one and a half months. The company said it also plans to increase its parcel sorting capacity to 1.5 million shipments per day.

The company said that out of these 75,000 jobs, more than 10,000 people will be off-role or temporary workers at Delhi Gateways, Warehouse and Last Mile Delivery.

Automatic gateway and sorting hub started

The objective of this hiring is to supply services for the expected heavy volumes in the parcel and express part truckload business during the upcoming festive season. The company’s fully automatic gateway and sorting hub at Tauru became operational in April this year.

The company will double up on various partner programs

The company said it will double up on various partner programs by engaging bikers, local retailers, business partners and transporters, with plans to implement revenue payouts of Rs 150 crore across all its programs.

Delhivery said it will recruit 50,000 last mile agents under its last mile agent program, which is offered to all self-employed, students and retired professionals with flexible earning opportunities.

More than 15 thousand last mile riders will be recruited

The company said it will also strengthen its other programs and increase capacity with over 15,000 additional last mile riders. The company will connect truckers, fleet owners and brokers through its BP business partners. This is expected to increase its truckload capacity by 50 per cent in the next few weeks.

Parcel sorting capacity will also increase

Ajit Pai, Chief Operating Officer, Delhi said, “With increasing delivery capacity, we have expanded our infrastructure to 1 million sq ft in Q1 FY23. Apart from this, to meet the growing customer demand, the parcel sorting capacity is being increased to 1.5 million shipments per day across the country.
