Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) successfully conducted the Civil Services Preliminary Examination today i.e. on 5th June. This exam was conducted in two shifts, the first shift was the General Studies exam from 9:30 to 11:30 and the second shift exam Common Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) was held from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
This time around 8 lakh candidates appeared in this exam, let us now know how was the level of UPSC exam this time.
International relations questions bothered the students in the general studies exam
Let us inform that the candidates who appeared in the first shift of the Civil Services Examination had a mixed reaction on the question paper.
According to the appeared candidates told that out of 100 questions, the maximum number of questions were asked from Geography and Environmental Ecology.
They said that the most difficult questions were asked from International Relations and the questions from this subject bothered the candidates the most.
According to the candidates who appeared in the exam, this time the exam pattern was changed.
From which topics questions were asked in the first shift?
In the General Studies exam, 19 questions were asked from Geography and Environmental Ecology, 11 questions were asked from Science and Technology, 12 questions were asked from Polity, 20 questions from Economy, 6 questions from Agriculture, 17 questions from History and 10 questions from Current Affairs. Went.
Let us inform that questions related to the corona virus epidemic were also asked in the first shift. In this, the question was also asked about the vaccine being made for the prevention of this epidemic.
The questions in the second shift were easy but took more time.
This time the questions asked in the second shift i.e. CSAT were easy and straightforward. But, it took a lot of time for the candidates to solve it.
The level of Mathematics, Geography of India and World and Sentence questions in CSAT was a bit difficult. Apart from this, questions related to comprehension were easy.
Let us tell you that it is mandatory for the candidate to get 33 percent marks to pass the second shift exam.
Here is the expert’s response to the exam pattern
After the completion of the Civil Services Examination, experts said, “Overall the paper was normal. There was a slight change in the way the questions were asked. The one who has got 60 questions out of 100 correct can consider himself in the safe zone.”
One of candidate was preparing for this exam for the last five years, told to media that the questions asked in the exam were overall easy.
A total of 1,011 posts will be recruited under the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Let us tell you that a total of 1,011 posts will be recruited under the Civil Services Examination of UPSC. In this 150 posts of Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) have also been added.
There are total 11 papers in this exam. The first stage (preliminary) consists of two papers, while the second stage consists of a written examination consisting of nine papers.
The candidates who are successful in the main examination are called for interview .
