Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) has released the admit cards for the Combined Defense Services (CDS) Examination (II) and National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II).
For all these examinations, the commission had issued the notification on May 18. Candidates who had applied for these examinations can download their admit card by visiting the official website of UPSC.
How many posts will be recruited in CDS and when will the exam be held?
The CDS II exam will be conducted on 4th September. 339 vacancies will be filled through this exam. In this, 100 posts of Indian Army Academy (IMA) Dehradun, 22 posts of Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, 32 posts of Air Force Academy (AFA) Hyderabad, 169 posts of Officers Training Academy Chennai (Men) and Officers Training Academy Chennai ( Women) includes 16 posts. These vacancies are temporary and can be changed at any time.
How many posts will be recruited in NDA and when will the exam be held?
NDA (II) exam will also be conducted on 4th September. As per the notification, the commission will conduct this recruitment exam for a total of 400 posts. This includes 208 posts in the Army (10 posts for women), 42 posts in the Navy (three posts for women), 120 posts in the Air Force (six posts for women) and 30 posts in the Naval Academy (only for men). What will be the exam pattern of CDS?
There will be a total of three papers for recruitment to the posts of Indian Navy, Air Force and Army under CDS, while there will be only two papers for recruitment to the posts of Officers Training Academy (OTA).
There will be 100-100 multiple choice questions in all the papers and you will get two hours to finish the entire paper. There will be one mark for correct answer and there will be negative marking of 0.33 for wrong answer.
What will be the NDA Exam Pattern?
There will be total two papers in NDA exam. The exam for Paper 1 and Paper 2 will last for two and a half hours. Paper 1 will have 120 questions for 300 marks, while Paper 2 will have 240 questions for 600 marks.
Please note that all the questions in this exam will be multiple choice. For correct answer, the candidate will get 2.5 marks, while for wrong answer there will be negative marking of 0.33 marks.
What will be the selection process?
Candidates will be selected for these posts on the basis of written examination conducted by UPSC and Intelligence and Personality Test (Interview) of Service Selection Board (SSB). Only the candidate who will qualify in the written test will get a chance to appear in the SSB interview. After this, the candidates who pass these two examinations will get admission in the next course of CDS , NDA and NA.

- After that go to the ‘Admit cards’ section on the home page.
- Now click on the link related to the admit card of the respective exam.
- After that login by entering the requested information.
- Now your admit card will appear on the front screen.
- Check it, download it and take a print out of it.
