Chennai: Actor and director Prathap Pothan passed away on today July 15 at his home in Chennai due to ill health. He was 70 years old. In this situation, many screen celebrities are condoling his death.
Prathap Pothan has acted in Tamil films like Moodpani, The Color of Poverty is Red, Nenchathi Killathe, Panneer Pushpamangal, Ariyatha Golamangal.
Actor Prathap Pothan also directed films like Marthandon, Jeeva, Vetri Vishti, Sivalapperi Pandi. He has acted in more than 100 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi languages.
Prathap Pothan used steady camera for the first time in Tamil in Kamal Haasan starrer Victory Festival. It is noteworthy that Prathap Pothan from Thiruvananthapuram has won the National Award for his film ‘Meendum Or Kadhal Kathi’ directed by him.
