Since the advance booking of Liger, it was being speculated that this film will do wonders on the first day at the box office. As expected, the first day collection of the film is more than the total collection of Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
The films of these two superstars, which were released on the holiday, could not even earn Rs 20 crore. At the same time, according to the figures, this film has done a business of Rs 33.12 crore at the box office on the first day. However, the film’s collection in the Hindi belt is a bit shaky. Ananya Pandey plays Liger’s girlfriend Tanya in the film. Apart from Vijay and Alia, ‘Liger’ also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Makarand Deshpande in important roles. International boxer Mike Tyson also made a cameo in the film.
