Producer SR Prabhu has said that work on ‘Irumbu Kai Mayavi’ will begin soon. The latest release ‘Vikram’ is set to add more fame to Lokesh who has directed excellent films like ‘Managaram’, ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Master’.
It has already been rumored that he will be directing a film titled Irumbu Kai Mayavi with Suriya, but no further details have been released. Following the success of the Lokesh-directed film Managaram, the film’s producer SR Prabhu consulted Surya to start a new project.

He directed the prisoner film with Karthi as Managaram was expected to team up with Lokesh-Suriya after the film. However after the huge success of Vikram movie lot of expectations with Suriya and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie lets get start very soon also can expect to release trailer in few moths.
‘Kaithi’ was a great success, followed by Vijay directing ‘Master’ which was also a success. Similarly, the recently released Vikram film was a success, but the film that said it would form an alliance with Surya is not the only one to come out yet.
Responding to a request from Lokesh Kanagaraj about this, I was reluctant to shoot Suriya at the time, I told Suriya and the producer about it, and only after they agreed did I take the Kaithi movie. He had said that he would make a film with Suriya soon.

Producer SR Prabhu has given the latest information about the film. As he says, we are planning to take Suriya’s Irumbu Kai Mayavi movie as a global project.
He is hopeful that work on the film will begin soon. Suriya, who played a cameo role in Lokesh’s ‘Vikram’, is currently set to play the lead role.
