Kochi: An actress who has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies was abducted in a car on the night of February 17, 2017 and was allegedly sexually abused by some people.
Ten people have been charged in a related case. Police arrested 7 people in the first phase. Famous Malayalam actor Dilip was arrested in this case and released on bail.
Meanwhile, Dilip’s friend and hotel owner Sarath Nair was arrested by the Kerala Police Crime Branch yesterday.
Based on the confession given by film director Balachandra Kumar, the inquiry team suspects that the person who allegedly went to the house of Dileep, who was granted bail in the case, was Sarath Nair.

Police sources said that Sarath Nair was arrested for destroying evidence related to the case.
