Ahmednagar, Maharashtra: A container and rickshaw accident took place in Douch Khurd area of Kopargaon taluka. Six people, including two college students, were killed in the crash. The accident was so severe that the rickshaw crashed. The dead included two women and two men.
A rickshaw carrying passengers was heading towards Kopergaon from Jhagde Phata when it was hit by a container coming from Kopergaon near Pagare Vasti. Six people were killed and two others were injured in the accident.
A total of twelve people were sitting in this rickshaw. After the accident, the rickshaw was hit, the luggage of the passengers in the rickshaw and the backpacks of the students were scattered everywhere. While the container driver was fleeing, he was apprehended by the civilians near Jhagde Fateh and handed over to the police.
Rajabai Sahebrao Kharat (60, resident of Chandeksare taluka Kopargaon), Atmaram Jamansa Nakode (65, resident of Wavi taluka Sinnar), Pooja Nanasaheb Gaikwad (20, resident of Hinganvedhe), Pragati Madhukar Hon (20, resident of Chandeksare taluka Kopargaon) were injured in the accident. , Shaila Shivaji Kharat (42), Shivaji Maruti Kharat (52, both of Shrirampur).
The injured have been admitted to Rashtrasant Janardan Swamy Hospital for treatment.
