Amarnath Yatra Suspended temporarily July 2022 on Bad Inclement Weather Pahalgam route

Due to inclement weather, the Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended.

New Delhi: No devotees are allowed to travel towards Amarnath cave temple from Nunwan camp in Pahalgam.

Devotees leave for the Amarnath cave temple from Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal camp in Anantnag district. So far, about 65,000 devotees have visited the Banilingam at the Amarnath Cave Temple. Today 6,351 devotees are ready to leave for Amarnath temple. Once the weather clears, they will leave for Amarnath.

The 43-day trek to the Amarnath Ice Cave will begin on Thursday (June 30) from two camps in Kashmir and end on August 11.

Officials said that more than 3 lakh devotees have registered for the Amarnath Yatra. Keeping in view the welfare of devotees, the government has introduced radio wave serial identification system this year to track their journey.

Police officials said that adequate security measures have been taken in the camps and shelters.

It is to be noted that the Yatra was not held for the last two years due to the Corona pandemic.
