Conspiracy to involve local youth in terrorist activities, funding starts from Jammu

Sagar Awhad, Pune: The Anti-Terrorism Squad(ATS) has arrested a youth from Pune who was linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist organization. This action has been taken in Dapodi area of ​​Pune. The youth arrested in the operation is identified as Mohammad Junaid.

Mohammed Junaid was living near a madrassa. He was in touch with both Aftab Shah and Umar from Lashkar-e-Toiba’s Jammu (Kashmir). The duo had deposited money in his bank account for terrorist activities. He was being funded by the terrorist organization to recruit young children and train them to operate ammunition and weapons.

He was living in a rented house near a madrassa in Dapodi area. Junaid was also in touch with some local youth in the area. His efforts to get local youth involved in terrorist activities begin. It is learned that some of the youths who were in contact with him have left the country.

His interrogation started yesterday afternoon. A case has been registered against Junaid after he was found guilty in the interrogation. Junaid is a native of Khamgaon in Buldana district. Junaid had been living in Pune for the last one and a half years. Junaid was educated in a madrassa.

Lashkar-e-Taiba is one of the largest and most active Islamic fundamentalist and terrorist organizations in South Asia. It is banned in India, Pakistan, the United States, Britain, the European Union, Russia and Australia.

Junaid’s plan was to recruit youth from the state into the Lashkar-e-Toiba organization. Junaid Mohammad was in touch with active members of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Toiba in Jammu and Kashmir. With his help, he was trying to recruit youths from different states into Lashkar-e-Toiba and train them in Jammu and Kashmir to carry out terrorist activities.

It has been concluded that the money was deposited in his account in Jammu and Kashmir for this work. It also sought to create a religious rift in the region by endangering religious unity and ethnic harmony by posting provocative messages that would undermine national security through various WhatsApp groups and Facebook. As a result, he has been charged.
