CBI Raids 8 locations of P Chidambaram and son Karthi, team reached in three states

CBI has raided the house of former Union Minister P Chidambaram and his son Karthik. Apart from Delhi, these raids have also taken place at his residence in Chennai.

The CBI team has raided the places of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram. CBI has raided a total of 8 locations. The Central Investigation Agency has raided P Chidambaram’s Chennai residence and Karti Chidambaram’s Karaikudi residence.

It is being told that this raid is related to a recent investigation. The CBI team has started a search operation at Karti’s house and office besides at many places. According to the information, this raid has been done at Karti’s premises in Delhi, Mumbai and Tamil Nadu.

According to media reports, this raid is about the approval given to INX Media. The head of INX Media is Peter Mukerjea. An FIR was registered on Monday in the case related to INX Media. Peter is also facing investigation in the Sheena Bora murder case.

Raid in Gurugram too

CBI raids Karti Chidambaram’s company office in Gurugram. This office of Karti is on Sohna Road. This raid is going on in the JMD Megapolis building. This office belongs to Chess Management Services Private Limited Company.

Know whatis INX Media Case

The CBI had registered an FIR against the media company INX Media on May 15, 2017. INX Media Group is alleged to have committed various irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval of the company for receiving foreign funds to the tune of Rs 305 crore.

Let us tell you that during the year 2007, the company was approved for investment, at that time P Chidambaram was the Finance Minister.
