Coronavirus Updates: Corona picks up speed again, one day 17,092 new cases registered, 29 people died

Coronavirus Updates: 813 new cases have been reported in Delhi on Friday and the positivity rate has gone up to 5.30 percent.

New Delhi: Fourth wave of corona virus is being feared in India. The entry of Omicron’s new sub-variants BA.2, BA.2.38, BA.4 and BA.5 has raised further concerns. Meanwhile, the number of new corona infected patients in the country continues to increase.

In the last 24 hours, 17,092 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the country. During this 29 corona infected patients have died. At the same time, on July 01, 17,070 new cases were reported and 23 infected patients died.

According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 5,25,168 corona infected patients have died in the country so far. The mortality rate is 1.21 percent. The number of active cases has reached 1,09,568. Active cases have become 0.24 percent of the total infection. Today there are more 2379 infected patients than yesterday.

At the same time, 14,684 corona infected patients have been cured in one day. The daily positivity rate has gone up to 4.14 percent. A total of 4,28,51,590 infected patients have been cured in the country so far. The recovery rate is 98.54%. The government is emphasizing on vaccination to control the corona virus.

So far the number of vaccinations has reached 1,97,84,80,015. At the same time, 9,09,776 doses have been applied in the last 24 hours. Most of the corona infected patients have been reported in 5 states of the country. Kerala has registered 3,904 cases. Which is number one.

After this, 3,249 cases have been reported in Maharashtra, 2,385 in Tamil Nadu, 1,739 in West Bengal and 1,073 in Karnataka. Overall, out of the total cases found in the country, 72.25 percent cases have come from these states. Kerala alone has 22.84 percent of the cases.

On Friday, 813 new cases have been reported in the national capital of the country, Delhi. The positivity rate has gone up to 5.30 percent. This is the second consecutive day when new cases have come between 800-1000. So far 26,264 infected patients have died in Delhi.
