Shahrukh got parole for four hours on May 23
The accused Shahrukh had sought parole from the court to meet his ailing father. The court had on May 23 granted his four-hour custodial parole (exemption in police custody).
After this, he was taken to his house in Jaffrabad amidst tight police security.
As soon as he reached the area, a crowd of people gathered and started shouting slogans to welcome him. The police had to struggle a lot.

In which case was Shahrukh arrested?
Let us tell you that during the riots in North East Delhi regarding the citizenship law , a video went viral.
In it, Shah Rukh was reportedly seen in a red T-shirt and blue jeans pointing a gun at head constable Deepak Dahiya.
In this case, on March 3, 2020, the police arrested Shahrukh from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. However, Shahrukh’s lawyer had claimed that he did not intend to kill the policeman.

Court rejected Shahrukh’s bail plea
In March this year, Shah Rukh had filed a petition for interim bail for 20 days citing his father’s operation, but it was rejected by the court on suspicion of tampering with witnesses and evidence. After this, he had sought parole again in May.
On this, the court, in view of his father’s condition, had ordered to be reunited with his father on May 23 for four hours’ custody parole.
There were riots in many areas of North-East Delhi for three consecutive days between February 2020. During that time former US President Trump was on a visit to India.
53 people died in the riots while around 700 were injured. A Delhi Police head constable was also among those killed. There was also heavy loss of property in the riots.
The rioters had set fire to whatever came forward including houses, shops and vehicles.
