Mumbai: Successive twists and turns in politics in Maharashtra. Devendra Fatnavis is expected to take over as Maharashtra Chief Minister, but Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde has announced that he will take over as Maharashtra Chief Minister. This makes it clear that the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra is Eknath Shinde.
Today’s press conference was attended by Devendra Fatnavis, Eknath Shinde and disgruntled MLAs. Devendra Fadnavis has announced that Eknath Shinde will be the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He further said that we will give our full support to the Shind government. The government will advance Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
Shiv Sena MLAs have been demanding an end to the alliance with the Congress and the NCP. But Uttam Thackeray ignored these MLAs and gave priority to the MVA alliance parties. That is why these MLAs intensified their voice, said Devendra Fatnavis.
The Shiv Sena formed alliances with Hindutva and anti-Savarkar. Shiv Sena disrespected people’s mandate. In 2019, BJP and Shiv Sena formed an alliance and contested the assembly elections, so we got the required number to form the government, he said.
We hoped to form the government in the state. But Devendra Fadnavis said the Shiv Sena chose to ally with those against whom Balasaheb had protested throughout his life.
A total of 50 MLAs are with us, including 40 MLAs from Shiv Sena…We have fought this battle so far with their help…I will not let even a scratch mar the trust that these 50 people have placed in me – let alone break that trust: Maharashtra CM-designate Eknath Shinde pic.twitter.com/2f877rCMB5

Eknath Shinde, speaking after that, said that the decision we have taken is for the development work of Balasakheb’s Hindutva and our MLAs’ constituencies. We have 50 MLAs with us.
And realizing that it will be difficult to win the next elections, we went to talk to former Chief Minister Thackeray about the grievances and development work of our constituency and requested him to form an alliance with the BJP to form the government.
A total of 50 MLAs are with us, including 40 MLAs from Shiv Sena. With their help we have fought this war so far. Eknath Shinde, who will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has said that I will not let these 50 people destroy even an iota of their trust in me.
