The Red Fort was chosen as the venue because it was from here that the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb ordered the execution of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, in 1675.
Prime Minister Modi said that on this auspicious occasion, I bow down at the feet of all 10 gurus. He said that at one time there was a storm of religious fanaticism in the country, then Guru Tegh Bahadur had come forward and showed the right path to everyone.
The PM said that the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji inspired many generations of India to live and die to protect the dignity of their culture, for its honor and respect.
PM Modi released Rs 400 coin
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a coin of Rs 400 during this period. Along with this, a postage stamp has also been issued.
During this, PM Modi said, “I heartily welcome all of you to this grand event dedicated to the 400th Prakash Parv of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.” PM Modi further said, “It is difficult to express in words the peace that I got by listening to Shabad Kirtan. Today I have also had the privilege of releasing a commemorative postage stamp and coin dedicated to the Guru. I consider it a special grace of our Gurus. ”
During this, PM Modi also released a postage stamp and a coin of Rs 400. Along with the title, he also told many things about the bravery of the Sikh religion.
