Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by nine wickets in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This is SRH’s fifth consecutive win.

Chasing the score, Abhishek Sharma (27 balls 47 runs) batted scorchingly and along with Kane Williamson (16*) helped his team win in eight overs.

RCB tied on the fifth lowest score of the league

RCB’s team was reduced to the score of 68. This score by RCB has become the fifth lowest score by a team in the league.

The record of being reduced to the lowest score in the league is also in the name of RCB. In 2017, the team was reduced to a score of 49 against Kolkata Knight Riders . Only two batsmen of the team could touch the double figure.

This is the eighth time that RCB’s team has been reduced to a score of less than 100 in the league. The team of Delhi Capitals has been all out for the most number of times below 100.

RCB have so far lost their seven wickets for less than 50 four times which is the most number of times for a team. Rajasthan Royals have also done this twice.

Hyderabad reached the second place in the points table

With winning the fifth match in a row, SRH have finished second in the points table. RCB and Rajasthan Royals, who suffered their third loss of the season, also have 10 points each, but Sunrisers have got second place due to good run-rate.

With 15 wickets in seven matches, T. Natarajan has moved to second place in the Purple Cap race. Jos Buttler (491) is leading the race for the Orange Cap.
