India, China are partners not rivals, says Chinese Foreign Minister

India and China are allies, not rivals. Instead of underestimating each other, we should help each other succeed.

Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in India on a surprise visit on the 25th. In the capital Delhi, he met Union Foreign Minister Jaishankar and held talks with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.

Wang Yi spoke to reporters in the Chinese capital, Beijing, about his trip to India.

The two countries agreed to adhere to a consensus on promoting the sustainable development of bilateral relations, ensuring that the two countries are not a threat to each other and resolving and dealing with practical issues properly.
