“Prime Minister Modi and President Biden will exchange views on recent developments in South Asia, the Indo-Pacific and global issues of mutual interest during the meeting, as well as reviewing existing bilateral cooperation ,” the foreign ministry said in a statement .
Important discussions ahead of the two-plus-two meeting
The online meeting will enable the two sides to continue their regular and high-level contacts with the aim of further strengthening the bilateral Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, the statement said. This online meeting between the two leaders will take place ahead of the fourth session of ‘two plus two’ ministerial talks between India and the US in Washington on Monday.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will hold talks with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken on April 11 in Washington as part of the fourth session of this dialogue.
