Mumbai: A major fire has broken out in the LIC office building in Santacruz, Mumbai. Eight fire tenders are present at the spot and are trying to douse the fire. It was a matter of relief that as it was early morning, no one was present in the office, due to which a major accident was averted.
According to fire officials, the fire broke out in the Salary Saving Scheme Unit on the second floor, after which computers, file records, all wooden furniture were completely gutted in the fire.
A fire has been reported at the office of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) in Santacruz area of Mumbai. The fire has started in the second floor, for which several fire tenders are present at the spot.
No casualties
According to reports, the fire broke out at 7 am in a two-storey building located on SV Road. Immediately it was informed to the fire brigade and police department. Eight fire tenders reached the spot and made every effort to douse the fire.
There is no news of any casualty so far in this incident of fire. It is not yet known how the fire started, but it is being said that the reason for this could be a short circuit. Police is also probing this.
