Mahindra New Scorpio 2022 likely to be launched soon, spotted at airport

New Mahindra Scorpio likely launched in the Indian market this year. This updated SUV will be based on the new platform and will come with a more powerful engine.

Mahindra is preparing to bring an updated model of Scorpio in the Indian market . In the last few months, testing models of the new Mahindra Scorpio have been spotted at the airport. Its recent leaked pictures have also been taken at an airport, in which the new Scorpio model is being loaded into the plane.

Obviously Mahindra Scorpio has been dominating its segment since its launch in 2002. Even after 20 years, it is one of the popular cars in the Indian market. In the last two decades, many changes have been made to the interior and exterior of the car. Now its 2022 model is expected to get some necessary updates.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be unveiled soon

A few weeks back, pictures of the Mahindra Scorpio were leaked from its TVC (television commercial) shoot location in Mumbai. According to reports, the new Scorpio can be launched soon. The new Scorpio will be based on the new platform and will come with a more powerful engine. The exterior design of the car is expected to be advanced as compared to before, as well as its cabin will give a better experience with the latest features.

Engine of 2022 Mahindra Scorpio

The new Mahindra Scorpio will get a 2-litre Amstallion turbo petrol motor and a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel engine. Both these engines come with the new Mahindra Thar and XUV700. Transmission options could include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT gearbox.

Features of 2022 Mahindra Scorpio

The SUV will also get a large touchscreen infotainment, vertically oriented air-con vents, electric sunroof, digital instrument cluster and Sony-powered sound system with 6 speakers. After launch, the new Scorpio will compete with cars like Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Alcazar, VW Tiguan and Skoda Kushaq.
