It has been told by the government that they are preparing on a war footing for 10 lakh recruitments in the next one and a half years. On Tuesday morning, it was told by the Prime Minister’s Office that the Modi government will give 10 lakh jobs in the next one and a half years.

The PMO has written in a tweet that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reviewed all the departments and ministries and has directed that one million people should be recruited in mission mode in the next one and a half years.

On this announcement of the government, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakar tweeted and termed it as another step towards becoming a self-reliant India. He said that PM Modi over time made the government more responsible and the focus of the government has now shifted to the people.

In fact, the opposition has been continuously surrounding the Modi government on the issue of employment. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other leaders repeatedly remind the words of PM Modi and BJP on employment. Especially, on the promise of two crore jobs every year, all the opposition parties and leaders have been surrounding the Modi government.

Taking a jibe at this announcement of the central government, Congress’s Surjewala tweeted and said- “Promised to provide 2 crore jobs every year, 16 crore jobs to be given in 8 years. Now they are saying that by 2024 only 10 lakh jobs will be given. 60 lakh posts are lying vacant only in the governments, 30 lakh posts are lying vacant in the central government.

It is worth noting that the opposition has been continuously making issues of inflation and unemployment in the country and has been attacking the central government regarding this. In such a situation, the announcement of this step by the Modi government has definitely given relief to those people who are looking for jobs or are eligible for it.
