A major accident happened late Monday night in Kurla Naik Nagar area of Mumbai. Many people got buried in it after the 4-storey building collapsed here.
After getting information about the incident, 12 vehicles of fire brigade were sent to the spot. Police and fire brigade personnel are trying to rescue people trapped inside the building.
7 people were rescued people trapped in the building have been evacuated safely. It is being told that 20-25 people are still feared trapped in the building. Therefore, NDRF has also been called on the spot to help in relief work.
NDRF personnel are busy clearing the debris and evacuating people. Senior officers of the police-administration are keeping an eye on the rescue work.

As soon as the information about the matter was received, Aaditya Thackeray, the cabinet minister of the Maharashtra government, reached the spot after the accident. He said that there were 4 multi-storey buildings, which had become dilapidated.
Notices were also given to the people to vacate it. People were living here forcibly. This was the reason that due to the collapse of the building, people got buried under it.
